Every day, semi trucks and trailers on the road transport various materials to all parts of the country to meet the material needs of national economy, people's livelihood, enterprise production, etc. When a semi truck and trailer is full of goods, it needs to be weighed. Do you know how to weigh it? Why does our country limit the weight of semi trucks and trailers loaded with goods?

Track scales are necessary for weighing semi trucks and trailers. According to different weighing methods, they can be divided into static weighing track scales and dynamic weighing track scales.

1. Static weighing track scales

Static weighing track scales are suitable for weighing semi trailers in a stationary state. During weighing, the semi trailer runs at a speed lower than 3 kilometers per hour. Stop the vehicle immediately after all wheels of the weighed semi trailer enter the weighing table. The staff will unhook the weighed semi trailer from the front and rear vehicles, and read the weighing indicator after the value stabilizes, so as to know the total value of the semi trailer's deadweight and load.

This type of track scale is less affected by the external environment and has a high measurement accuracy. It is suitable for weighing high value-added goods. It can be weighed while the semi trailer is loaded with goods, saving the time of weighing the semi trailer separately.

2. Dynamic weighing track scale

The dynamic weighing track scale is suitable for weighing semi trailers in motion, and can be weighed without stopping or unhooking. However, this type of track scale has high requirements for the installation environment. In addition to being on a flat straight road, both sides of the line must also have good drainage conditions to prevent water accumulation from affecting the electrical equipment connected to the track scale.

When weighing on an automatic track scale, the maximum speed of the semi trailer is required to be controlled at 35 kilometers per hour when passing. The weighing system will automatically distinguish between locomotives and trucks, and the sensor will convert the semi trailer load into an electrical signal. After computer processing, the semi trailer load can be known.

In addition to automatic weighing and automatic calculation, the automatic track scale can also automatically record data information such as time, vehicle number, and net weight.

This type of track scale measurement and detection has the characteristics of fast speed, high efficiency, and low labor cost. Different types of track scales can be selected according to the different properties of the semi trailer to meet the measurement needs of semi trailers loaded with goods on different roads.

Road transport must have accurate control of freight load capacity, otherwise it will bring many safety hazards to driving safety. The pressure on an overloaded semi truck trailer is much higher than that on a normal semi truck trailer, which greatly weakens the safety performance of the vehicle and makes the overloaded semi truck trailer a "time bomb" on the road.

The hazards of overloading are roughly as follows:

1. Increase driving safety hazards.

2. Affect the service life of the vehicle.

3. Seriously damage public facilities such as roads and bridges.

Therefore, during normal driving, we must pay attention to monitoring the weight of the semi truck trailer and the weight of the loaded cargo to avoid safety accidents.
